About
The Leicester-Shire Music and Cultural Trust was in its early stage of formation, and its trustees wanted communications support to help with their fundraising. We were by our colleague and friend Marc Jaffrey, to collaborate on this short piece of work to help develop an outline communications strategy.
The Trust was set up to raise funds to support the work of Leicester-Shire Schools Music Service (LSMS) and the Leicester-Shire Music Education Hub (LMEH).
Leicester-Shire Music Education Hub is a collective of local and national partners and schools, working together to deliver the National Plan for Music Education in England to all young people aged 5-18 in Leicester and Leicestershire. It aims to provide all young people with access to excellent classroom teaching, instrumental and vocal tuition, as well as providing clear opportunities for progression, from beginners through to high quality central ensembles.
How I helped
Following a Skype briefing meeting, Anita and Marc developed and ran a workshop for the trustees.
It was fun and inspiring day, with some great insights and ideas from these passionate advocates of music education. Following this, Anita wrote up a skeleton strategy which covered the Trust’s initial goals, values and beliefs, communications aims, audiences, messages, and potential communications tools, channels and activities.
