A MOOC is aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web. In addition to traditional course materials such as filmed lectures, readings, and problem sets, many MOOCs provide interactive user forums to support community interactions and social learning. Participants ask other participants for advice, insights and tips, and the course tutor provides the framework.
How I helped
This was a sharp learning curve: we had no idea how a MOOC worked! But we did have experience in understanding user journey in websites, social networks and online communities.
Because of her experience in music education, Anita took the lead in creating the course materials. Dyfan completed the initial research and tested the course, using his skills in writing for the web to develop and edit it in readiness for the launch.
