About
WEA Cymru (now Adult Learning Wales) the adult and community learning organisation, had recently undergone a massive change, the result of a merger between two organisations. The newly-merged organisation wanted to consult with its stakeholders on its new strategy, and approached us to help in 2016.
Chief Executive Mark Isherwood commissioned us to create ‘easy read’ English and Welsh versions of its Organisational Strategy document. This involved using Plain English and Cymraeg Clir guidelines, as well as following easy read guides by Mencap and the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) to produce information in an accessible way.
About WEA Cymru
WEA Cymru, now Adult Learning Wales, provides educational opportunities for all adults with a focus on those who’ve missed out on learning or who need a second chance. Courses take place in the community or through the workplace, in partnership with voluntary organisations, trades unions and employers.
