About
Youth Music were looking for freelance writers to research and write stories/case studies about how the projects they fund have transformed the lives of individual young people. As I had a lot of experience in the sector, both as a youth music writer and community music writer and a freelance communications consultant, I was one of three people contracted to create the stories. This involved interviewing six young people, as well as the adults involved in their care, support or music-making.
The charity supports more than life-changing music-making projects across England. Communicating the impact of their work is essential, so they wanted powerful, inspiring and persuasive stories, to share through websites, social media, newsletters, publications and with the media.
How I helped
The stories were used to demonstrate impact to corporate partners, trusts and foundations, major donors and the general public.
