Make Music Gloucestershire

About

As part of Anita’s work with Make Music Gloucestershire, the county’s music education hub, she was asked to develop and a school services brochure to help sell services to school heads, and advocate the benefits of music for their pupils and school. This included planning the content and layout, writing the copy, commissioning and sourcing photographs, and briefing a designer.

The school services brochure includes information on the many music education organisations, music leaders, community musicians and others, who are working together in Gloucestershire to make sure that music education reaches as many children and young people as possible. It also includes information on the benefits of music education from raising the aspirations and improving the motivation of schoolchildren, to building a community and a positive, inclusive culture in a school.

How I helped

Developing the school services brochure involved working with the partners in the hub – mainly music education organisations – to hone their offer and make it clear for buyers.

The brochure has been well received by partners and schools, and we will be producing the third annual brochure shortly.
