An IP address is a number that can uniquely identify a specific computer (or other network device on the internet). We may use analysis software to look at IP addresses and cookies for the purpose of enhancing your user experience. This information is not used to develop a personal profile of you and any log files will be regularly purged.
When someone visits www.writingservices.co.uk or musiceducationworks.wordpress.com/ or blog.writing-services.co.uk/ we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
WordPress also collects this data for the same purpose, and it also collects email addresses if you say that you wish to follow the Music Education Works or the Writing Services blog , you will automatically be emailed with any new posts on the blogs. You will not however receive our occasional digests unless you sign up for our enewsletters (see above).
Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improve the user experience. You can find more information about cookies at www.allaboutcookies.org and www.youronlinechoices.eu.
